Instructors & Staff

David Knight started his photographic profession with a diverse background as a college yearbook photographer, US Army photographer, and then earning his degree from Western Michigan University in Visual Media.  Working as a commercial photographer located in St. Joseph, MI you’ll find David shooting in his studio or traveling on photo assignments throughout the United States and Europe.

In 2004 David was the project director for a photo documentary of St. Joseph & Benton Harbor, MI entitled “2 Cities 48 Hours.”  Gathering 26 photographers, 13 professionals and 13 amateurs, they photographed the two cities for 48 hours.  A year later a book, 2 Cites 48 Hours - Benton Harbor & St. Joseph, was published with over 250 images.

David has taught photography since the 1970’s where he started teaching at Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.
